Assistant Principals

Melissa Dillow

Melissa Dillow began her career with Lake County Schools in 2004 as a teacher at Spring Creek Elementary School. She transitioned to Triangle Elementary School in 2011. During her time at Triangle, she held positions in second and fourth grades teaching, Math and Science Instructional Coach, Tech Con, and most recently as Guidance Counselor and Testing Coordinator. As Assistant Principal, she will strive to maintain a positive and safe environment focused on the social emotional needs of the staff and students, increasing student achievement, and community involvement. Melissa is excited to join the Challenger family!

Cliff Tomassian

Mr. Tomassian began his career in public education in Massachusetts where he taught Physical Education at a Middle School for 12 years before moving to Florida in 2017. While living in Massachusetts Mr. Tomassian also coached High School Boys' and Girls' basketball.  After moving to central Florida, Mr. Tomassian worked at The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake as a Physical Education teacher.  He worked there for 4 years as he earned his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.  In 2021 Mr. Tomassian was hired as the Instructional Dean at Fruitland Park Elementary School and transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal in late 2021.   Mr. Tomassian is honored to join the administrators at Fruitland Park Elementary and is focused on maintaining a culture and climate that is built for all teachers to feel successful and all students to learn and be a contributing member of the school community.
