We want to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Shaffer for the incredible care, compassion, and dedication she brings to our school community every single day. She works tirelessly to support our students, families and staff, helping remove barriers and ensuring every child has what they need to succeed.

Her heart for kids, calm presence, and commitment to doing what is best for students make a lasting impact on our campus. We are so grateful for all that you do! 💙🐻

We are so excited to celebrate our Read Across America Spirit Days as we honor this year’s theme, Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers!

Get ready for a fun week filled with books, imagination, creativity, and Bear pride! Students will have the opportunity to show off their reading spirit with special dress-up days that highlight different voices, cultures, characters, and the many ways we love to read.

From traveling the world through stories to dressing as favorite book characters and showing off school spirit, it’s going to be a week full of joy, learning, and celebration. 📖🌎✨

📚✨ 1st Grade Families, Get Ready for a Night of Fun & Learning! ✨➕

We are so excited to invite our 1st grade families to Family Math & Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 3rd from 5:30–7:00 PM in the Treadway Elementary Cafeteria

Join us for an evening filled with hands-on math and literacy stations where your child will explore:
🔢 Number sense and number forms
📖 Phonological awareness and story elements

Students will even create take-home practice bags packed with activities you can use together at home

🍽 Dinner will be provided for families who RSVP

Huge congratulations to our incredible elementary students who showcased their science fair projects at the Lake County Schools Science and Engineering Fair today! Their curiosity, creativity, and hard work were on full display, and we are so proud of the innovation they brought to this year’s competition. A big thank‑you to the judges, teachers, and families who supported these young scientists along the way. 👉 Next up: Middle and high school projects on Friday. We can’t wait to see what our older students have in store!

This week, we proudly celebrate our amazing school counselors during National School Counseling Week. Mrs. Harlee, Mrs. Leader-Matthew, and Mrs. Fields play such an important role in supporting our students academically, socially, and emotionally. Their care, guidance, and dedication help our students grow in confidence, resilience, and success each day. We wrapped up our Read, White, and Blue Literacy Week with our amazing Hometown Heroes guest readers. It was a special day as our students enjoyed stories and time with members of our community.
